Standing at 10″ tall these polystone statues bring Mileena, Kitana and Jade from Outworld into ours. They are priced at $129 each and will be released between January and April of 2012 and are available for preorder at Syco Collectibles, and Big Bad Toy Store. With plans to release Sindel, Skarlet and Sonya Blade , Mortal Kombat fans have a lot to look forward to.
I was a little underwhelmed by this episode, too short and the fight between Scorpion and Sub-Zero felt weak. With only one episode left before the end, I really hope they don’t drop the ball and instead turn out something spectacular.
Much like the Mileena/Kitana episodes, this is a two-part storyline. The first episode focuses on story elements and leaves the good stuff (the fighting) for the next episode. So my complaint is much the same, I really wish they would just give us one long episode instead of a ‘ To Be Continued ‘. Otherwise this is an okay episode, the setting is beautiful and we get to see a side of Scorpion that hasn’t been shown before. My only other complaint was the kid, he just seemed so cold and emotionless when delivering his lines I almost thought he was going to be Sub-zero as a child. Here’s hoping the next episode delivers the fighting we want to see from a series called Mortal Kombat.
After being slightly disappointed with the last two episodes, episode 6 kicks it back in to gear. Leaving Edenian behind and return to Earth to focus on Raiden, we get a story that is both entertaining and a bit disturbing. Kevin Tancharoen does a great job in weaving a story that feels believable with Raiden. Having him land in a mental institution and being locked up and diagnosed with delusions of grandeur was a fantastic way to deal with a supernatural character who’s story could of wound up being generic and predictable. I also felt Ryan Robbins does a great job of portraying Raiden, almost makes you forget a white guy is playing the Japanese god of Thunder and Lighting. This series has it’s ups and downs but episodes like this show the potential that Mortal Kombat has to be a really good Tv show or movie. Now if I could just get that image of the ice pick to the brain out of my head.
