Sega looks to be going in the right direction with it’s new game Sonic Generations. Set to release later this year, this game allows you to play as either the classic Genesis era Sonic or the more updated Sonic from the Dreamcast era and on. Classic Sonic will consist of 2-d stages that look to recapture the speed and fun of the old Genesis games, while Modern Sonic is all about the 3-d stages we’ve seen in Sonic Colors. If Sega can pull this together and not make the same mistakes they made with Sonic 4, this could be a really great game. Now Sega just get to work on a sequel to Skies of Arcadia or Phantasy Star 5 and you’ll have earned my respect and my money.
