After over 6 years of being out of print, Kodansgha comics is bring Naoko Takeuchi‘s Sailor Moon back. Kodansgha will condense the original 18 volumes into 12 deluxe books and release them bi-monthly starting in September 2011. They will also be bringing Codename: Sailor V to the states for the first time ever! This prequel follows Sailor Venus before she joined up with the rest of the Sailor Soldiers and it’s release should have Sailor Moon fans excited.
Mixx Comics was the last publisher to hold the Sailor Moon manga license and those books go for a lot of money online. The books also suffered due to the small size of the books, with images not fitting all the way on the page and being cut off. This new release will bring Sailor Moon back into an affordable realm for everyone to enjoy it and hopefully be more faithful to it’s original material.
